Suckling - tJL Covers is a single 43 years in the making. In 1982, Brett Bradford played guitar in the newly formed and highly influential band “Scratch Acid”. After its dissolution in 1987, David Yow and David Sims went on to fame and glory with the ever popular band the Jesus Lizard. Fast forward to 2023, Brett Bradford’s current band Suckling was asked to provide two songs for an Italian, the Jesus Lizard tribute album. Bradford asked Yow what songs he thought would be cool to cover, of which Suckling chose A Tale Of Two Women and Too Bad About The Fire. Regarding the later title, after listening to it repeatedly, Bradford began to hear a familiar voice, harkening back to his formative, Touch & Go days…Killdozer! Micheal Gerald graciously accepted to provide his singular vocal stylings. As if that weren’t enough, heavy hitter Brent Prager of Cherubs pounds the skins –enjoy!
