Just got
some pictures in from CMJ 2007. We had 3 ACG bands show up
for an awesome show at Lit Lounge in Manhattan. Photos by
Max Spitzenberger.
Some live shots of Bleach and a few portrait-type shots of
the boys of Lebanon and the girls of Lozen. Thanks a lot to
CMJ for letting us rock out!

New records! Giraffe Running from Dublin,
Ireland and The Emeralds from Yokohama! Giraffe
Running is a collaboration of the 2 pc band Giraffe Running
and several other musicians including (but not limited to)
Ian Williams (BATTLES), Agata (Melt Banana), and Max Tundra!
It is an awesome 2 disc set. Available nationwide in MAY 2008!
I am revamping the store, so currently it is not so great
and not very updated, coming soon: New Store!
SXSW was
a lot of fun. We had a few parties here at ACG World Headquarters
including the Starcleaner
Records party Thurs Mar 13, FXFY'all #3 Fri Mar 14, and
FXFY#10 Sat Mar 15. After SXSW I went on a crazy
tour with 6 Japanese bands, including The
Emeralds, whose new CD bears the ACG logo (ACG21). They
are crazy rock and rollers from Yokohama, Japan. Posters below
by Win Wallace. Although they bear "bad" words,
we harbor no ill will towards SXSW or their staff. The name
of our shows was drawn from years of being "rejected"
from SXSW and created in a lets-have-fun attitude. Gong Li
members are ultimately responsible.

related news, our pygmy/dwarf goat Yagi recently had to have
the tip of his urethra cut off in a bloody but effective solution

FREE WEEK
at Emos is an awesome small festival of bands.
Every night
a bunch of local bands play for free, no cover!
This year
Emos is putting on an Australian Cattle God night with some
of or local friends on two stages Wednesday
January 9th!
INSIDE
is Good Times Crisis Band, Red X Red M, Mega Trap (Megazilla
+ The Snake Trap), Manikin, and A-Formatik Ontact. OUTSIDE
we will have When Dinosaurs Fock (Gorch Fock + When Dinosaurs
Ruled the Earth), Tia Carrera, and Lick Lick. Unfortunately,
Cat Scientist will not be able to play.
The
Little Bicycles (Jane Awesome Records) are playing their FREE
WEEK tomorrow, Jan 5th with Cruiserweight, The Applicators,
The Anchor and Masonic. INSIDE STAGE!
Ride your bike to the show (or bring it in your car) and get
it tuned up/repaired by Guerilla
Cyclewerx. These guys will be repairing flats, tune-ups,
and other bike things for $5 on the patio! It is the cheapest
fix you will find anywhere. They have a sign up sheet, don't
be shy.
12/16/07
Hey Party People! There
is an ACG event tonight at Beerland.
The Snake
Trap, Good Times Crisis Band, and The Little Bicycles are
gonna play short sets, as well as possibly up to 5 other surprise
bands playing 3-4 songs each. Cover is possibly $3. It is
a little chilly out for Austin people, but if you are motivated,
ride your bike to the show (or bring it in your car) and get
it tuned up/repaired by the pros at Guerilla
Cyclewerx. These guys will be repairing flats, tune-ups,
and other bike things for $5! It is the cheapest fix you will
find anywhere.

play also... Migas was gonna play with them but I heard that
Don
Stewart can no longer make it down from Seattle.

Crap!
I did something wrong and erased my
last few NEWS entries.
They were all about our three new bands,
Mico
De Noche, Lick
Lick, and Good
Times Crisis band. They rule! Currently all three bands
are being pushed toward college radio dj's across the country
through Nina at Apples
and Cats. Also, for any of you that are reading this sight,
all our cds are $5 throughout the end of the year (trying
to knock inventory down!) if you buy them through this offer.
You gotta email me at bryan@australiancattlegod.com and I
will complete your order! $5 local, $7 ppd!

NEW COMP!
We are working with AMP.FM to release
a compilation of Austin bands. The CD is going to be inside
the registrant bags at CMJ, which is next week! 22 bands from
Austin are featured on the comp, which was all that we could
fit on the 80 minutes of zeros and ones. All the bands on
the comp are current bands that can be seen here in Austin
on any given night. The comp looks great!
Bands included on the comp are:The
Red Leaves, Good Times Crisis Band, Lick Lick, Cat Scientist,
The Easies, Ume, Cruiserweight, The Little Bicycles, Gorch
Fock, Oh Beast!,The Snake Trap, Splithoof, Megazilla, Tia
Carrera, Attack Formation, My Education, Maneja Beto, Thulsa
Doom, Red X Red M, The Fall Collection, Rachel Goldstar, and
The Devil Bat.
on a side note, Nadia Kean from The
Little Bicycles is leaving for Australia today! She will be
training some roller derby girls down under and we will miss
her! She will be back for Xmas, and for free week at Emos.
Look for an all-rockin' ACG NIGHT during free week! Locals
and friends!
Free week of music at Emos! All right!

Time flies when you are having fun!
Yes, we are still here and we ae kicking
it out! We have three new records coming out in November from
three new, exciting bands! acg17 will be
Mico De Noche "Cherries". They are a 2 pc (guitar
and drums) band from Seattle Wa, but this record features
all sorts of guest musicians. acg18 is Good
Times Crisis Band "Select a Gather Point". Three
piece from Austin TX featuring the songwriting and guitar
skills of Bill Corsello (Stress Magnets, Monkeyspank). and
acg19 is the debut album of Lick
Lick "self titled", a crazy austin 5pc featuring
members of The Fencesitters, Brown Whørenet, Sprawl,
Middle Finger, Les Saucy Pants and The Passed out Fliers.
They have been wowing The Live Music Capitol for a while now
and many locals are excited to buy their cd.
ACG will be attending CMJ
with a showcase at Lit Fri Nov 19. We will be showcasing
Bleach
03, Lebanon,
and Lozen.
Be sure to check it out if you are in the big apple!
We are going to be doing some changes
to our site here in a few weeks so keep a look out for exciting
improvements and unheard-of feats of digital programming.
So, a little more than a month has
passed since our last news update and a lot has been going
on in the ACG camp. First, one Mr.
Bryan A. Nelson wed Andrea
Hendel (now Andrea Nelson) at Zilker
park in late June and a great time was had by all. It
was one heck of a party and the rain
that everyone's been hearing about down here held off for
the festivities.
In rawk news, were sad to say that ACGR has suffered its first casualties. The International Playboys will be playing their last show this Thursday night in Missoula. I've known these guys since way, way back, turn of the century, as a band and Colin Hickey as a bro for a lot longer than that and it truely is an end to an era. BUT Colin has already mentioned another project sprouting and I can't wait to hear it.
Casualty #2, is the demise of La Mancha - hell, we never even got their record out and they are no more. However, there is a consolation for all of the folks that have been waiting for years for a La Mancha record, we're gonna post the entire record, in high quality MP3 format for FREE DOWNLOAD on their label page shortly along with the front cover art. So, at least it will live as 0's and 1's. It should be up by the of the week.
Okay, now for the good rawk news. The Snake Trap will be playing in LA this Saturday at the S&M Bikes 20th Anniversary party. Their music is also featured on the latest Etnies BMX Video, Grounded, along with ACG family Lebanon and Tia Carrera. The ST has also been featured in the latest Props Visual, Rock and Road Fools BMX DVD w/ This Bike is a Pipe Bomb and Greyscale. They've also got a Houston date coming up in Sept. w/ Lebanon and bunch of Sept. shows in Austin. Check the tours page.
Speaking of Lebanon, they're going to be back in the states in September and October for a coast to coast 40+ show tour culminating at the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC. The dates that are confirmed right now are up on the tours page and will be updated as the few remaining TBAs are filled, which should be in the coming few days.
Speaking of CMJ, Lozen will be making the trek from Tacoma to the Big Apple for the marathon and Bleach03 will be coming over from Okinawa for the Marathon and a subsequent tour as well. Info will be posted as dates become available so check back regularly for updates.
More extra special news about new records for the end of the year coming soon! - You'll want them. Also, buy our records.

FIRST - Attack Formation's new record We Are Alive in Tune is in store's now!!! This record amazing. Listen to you're local college radio station and request this mutha. It's adding to radio nation-wide this week so call up the DJs and tell 'em to spin it - dang.
To celebrate and commemorate this release the AF folks will be rocking an in-store at Waterloo Records this Friday afternoon followed by a release show on Sat. at the Beauty Bar. Don't miss these chances to catch the AF crew before they hit the road to the West Coast next week.
