Japanese all girl trio - blending elements of punk, avant garde, free jazz, ska, surf and funk.

TSU SHI MA MI RE was formed in 1999 when Mari, Yayoi and Mizue were still University Students. The three began performing in clubs in Chiba, Japan, and released their 1st demo in 2001.

TsuShiMaMiRe started touring the U.S. in 2004 with a show at the SXSW music festival in Austin Texas. The band's name spread across the nation in their two month double-tour last year promoting the U.S. release of "Pregnant Fantasy" - a month and a half as the opening stage act for "Suicide Girls Live Burlesque Tour", and another two weeks with the "Japan Girls Nite West Coast Tour", finishing up with a showcase at the ROCKGRL Music Conference in Seattle. They just finished the Japan Nite US tour 2006 (as a head liner) including another well received SXSW appearance. TsuShiMaMiRe is currently recording their 2nd album.
